Oahu, Hawaii

While Hawaii has fantastic temperatures all year round, visiting Oahu in November means fewer crowds, significantly increasing your chances of having an insanely relaxing trip. And because it’s past the peak season, hotels and resorts will likely be more cost-friendly.

There are plenty of activities to try on the island, such as surfing, snorkeling, whale watching, hiking, and more.

However, November is the start of the rainy season. But if you don’t mind getting a little wet, it’s definitely worth the visit!

Bonus tip: I would recommend planning your days around the rain. If it’s supposed to rain on one side of the island, schedule activities on the other side.

Gatlinburg is another destination where you can appreciate the fall, as it sits on the border of the Smoky Mountains. And these mountains have some of the best foliage in the south!

Other popular activities during this time include snow tubing, attending Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic Kickoff, enjoying the holiday lights at the SkyLift Park, and so much more.

Note: Gatlinburg is extremely busy during the Thanksgiving Holiday, so it’s best to plan your trip before the holiday to avoid the rush of vacationers.

San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio is one of the best warm places to visit in November in the USA. You can expect temperatures to stay around the mid-60s throughout the month, which is impressive for Texas.

San Antonio is an excellent pick for those wanting to mingle because the city hosts several events in November. Celebrations like Dia de Los Muertos & the Lighting Ceremony are great ways to enjoy the city.

Overall, San Antonio is full of history, arts, a mix of cultures, and more. The fantastic temperature and plethora of activities make the city an ideal location for a relaxing weekend trip.

Chicago, Illinois

November is one of the best and most festive times to visit Chicago. Halloween has just ended, and all the Christmas decorations are coming up. Everyone is buzzing with the excitement of the holidays.

Chicago is a thrilling city, and there are plenty of things to do, like ice skating, sightseeing, or even going to a sports game. And if you’re feeling festive, check out the Thanksgiving Parade. Lots of holiday excitement.

It’s important to note that it does start to get colder in November. They don’t call it the windy city for nothing. So be sure to pack warm layers, gloves, and a toboggan to be on the safe side.
