I’ve always had a thirst to see the world, so it’s no surprise that I have a travel bucket list. Today, I’m going to share my top 5 must-see destinations, and then I’ll share some tips for starting your own.

I want to see all of the world, but there are certain places I am dying to see. For reasons I’ll list below, these locations absolutely fascinate me, and I must see them for myself. And so came the birth of my travel bucket list.

The Top 5 Destinations on My Travel Bucket List

China

First on my list is China, specifically the Great Wall of China. I’m not sure how long it would take to walk the whole of the Wall, but I would train to experience the wonder of trekking that historical wall.

Phuket

Next on my list is Phuket, Thailand. This city seems like so much fun to me, full of great food and beautiful views. When I go, I intend on visiting Phang Nga Bay and the Phuket Big Buddha.

Egypt

I’ve always been obsessed with Egyptian culture and history! Aside from the delicious food, lively people, and bustling streets, the Pyramids are what I dream of seeing.

Rome

If you have noticed, I have a thing for historic places. Something about being in the exact location that people from a thousand years ago stood on is so thrilling to me. Of course, my list wouldn’t be complete without Rome. So many things to see and do in this magical city, but I’m most excited to visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

Bali

The fifth spot on my list belongs to Bali. I imagine Bali is much like a paradise full of green, luscious forests, and sunny beaches, and I can’t wait to go. I’m most excited to see the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary.

How to Make Your Own

Now, I’m going to share some tips on how to start your own travel bucket list.

Get a Travel Journal

The first step is to get something to write your list in and planning notes. Having a designated journal will help you keep up with your list, and it’ll help you make your list a reality.

List Where You’ve Been

Before you figure out where you want to go, it’s important to think about where you’ve been. This will mainly help you keep track of all the places you’ve traveled. Also, listing where you’ve been will help you get specific on where you want to go.

Think About Where You Want To Go

Next, take some time to think about where you want to go. Researching different locations in a particular area can help you come up with some places. You can also google travel bucket lists, and several results will pop up with inspiration for your travel bucket list.

You can also get additional inspiration from your family and friends. Ask them what’s on their list or some places they enjoyed visiting. Now begin to list the destinations on your list.

Remember to have fun when creating your list. And try to come up with reasons you want to visit these locations. This will help you meet your goals for seeing these places. Happy Traveling!
